Messages > I WILL DO IT LATER!

I WILL DO IT LATER!

I WILL DO IT LATER!
Few people realize that there is a subtle sin that the enemy of their soul, satan has gotten them bound in! This is the sin of procrastination! They are hoping that things will just all settle down and than they can follow God and start doing the right thing-some time...later! What is this danger and what does the Lord tell us about it in His Word

Hi dear friend in Christ, the year 2007 have passed as well and it will go down as part of history and what has been done during the year has now been done and never will return. We can never go back in time and change what we did or what we should have done. Opportunities missed are lost forever! Promises that we made and did not keep, now a year later, gone by, with the possibility of still e not having done them!

You may be one of the many people who have procrastinated with that thought that you will do it ‘later’ and ‘later’ came and passed you by and still you have failed to keep the promise/s! It is the sin of procrastination!

Let us look directly at the Word of God regarding what The Lord says to those who make promises and do not keep them:

Numbers 30:2-3, “If a man makes a vow to the Lord, or takes an oath to bind himself with a binding obligation, he shall not violate his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth." NASB

Deuteronomy 23:21-22, “When you make a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay to pay it, for it would be sin in you, and the Lord your God will surely require it of you.”NASB

Ecclesiastes 5:4-5, “When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it, for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!” NASB

So as you see, not only does The Lord commands us to keep our vows and promises, but He also expects us to do it right away without delay!

Many don’t realize that to God and His holy standards, “Delayed obedience is actually disobedience.”[/font][/b][/i] (Read Deuteronomy 1-2)

Many in the world wish to have more joy, peace, love, money and health but few in comparison are really doing anything effectively and positively to change that!

Are you one of those people!??

Have you made a promise to some one, yourself or to The Lord one year ago (many years ago) and you still have not done it!?? (If so you are procrastinating!)

Are you still till today in the same situation that you were in a year (years) ago when you said that you were going to do some thing to change your present situation? (If not in a worst one!)

Someone said; “The meaning of stupidity is doing something over and over again and expecting different results!”

Are you expecting different and better results in life yet you are not doing any thing different to change it!?

Do you know that you have only one chance to live today! You will never live today again. Once it is gone, it is gone forever-possibly wasted!

Are you using all your energy in what is lasting and impacting or in what is temporary and insignificant? Are you draining yourself, running around in life always trying to get things done that are urgent, instead of things that are important?

In what you are investing most of your time, money and effort in right now, if one day you end up in a situation where you loose it all instantly (God forbid because of some thing like a tragedy, serious illness, natural disaster etc…) will you go insane because you would have lost every thing that gives you identity and purpose (but temporarily), or will you be able to still sit back and look at all that you have done and invested your energy in while you were capable?! Only if you have invested in things that will never be taken away from you, will you be able to enjoy the latter!

If you ever ended up in a helpless situation and every remaining minute of your life will be a moment to cherish what you have worked so hard for the most in your life, will what you are doing now be that thing you would cherish or not??? If not…than you are not investing wisely and most likely wasting your life chasing waterless and empty clouds! You are not considering seriously that you are not here forever!

Do you ever seriously think that one day you will be gone from this life and all your efforts be done in vain, especially if they are all about you! Than what!? What will you be remembered for the most?

James 4:13-17, “Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.” NIV

Listen to the wisdom of the Lord from His Word!

Ecclesiastes 2:24-26,“A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in his work. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment? To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind." NIV

Are you sure that you will have a lovely comfortable, healthy and a problem free retirement and thinking that when you get old you will do things you would like to do now, but you just think that you are going to do it later….like spending time with your wife, husband, parents, children, your family in Christ etc?

Are you investing thousands of $dollars, Euros of your hard earned income for a retirement insurance but no thought at all of your eternal soul insurance!?? Do you have Fire Insurance??

Have you made promises to God that you were going to start reading the Bible yet you have not done it still?

Have you made promises to God that you were going to start reading the Bible with your , wife, husband and children to influence generations to come for Christ, but you still are leaving a hopeless and lost world train your Children in eternal matters?

Have you promised God that you were going to commit yourself to Him and include Him in your daily life decisions but you haven’t yet?

Have you promised The Lord that you were going to start going to Bible study and Fellowship but a year (years) have gone by and hoping that life will get easier later on, but in fact it has gotten harder and tougher, therefore you have not kept your promise either?

Why? Because like what Jesus said, you are waiting for the perfect opportunity to come and than when you have gotten all your ‘ducks in a row’ (…and you never will) you think you will be ready to really follow Jesus….right?!

If you are waiting for the perfect opportunity, the Bible says that it will never come to you!

Ecclesiastes 11:4, “He who observes the wind [and waits for all conditions to be favorable] will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap." AMP

What does The Lord think about those who have been invited to come to Him, but have for some seemingly good excuse postponed or rejected His call?

Luke 14:15-25, “… Jesus followed up. "Yes. For there was once a man (Jesus) who threw a great dinner party and invited many. When it was time for dinner, he sent out his servant to the invited guests, saying, 'Come on in; the food's on the table.'
"Then they all began to beg off, one after another making excuses. The first said, 'I bought a piece of property and need to look it over. Send my regrets.' "Another said, 'I just bought five teams of oxen, and I really need to check them out. Send my regrets.' "And yet another said, 'I just got married and need to get home to my wife.' "The servant went back and told the master what had happened. He was outraged and told the servant, 'Quickly, get out into the city streets and alleys. Collect all who look like they need a square meal, all the misfits and homeless and wretched you can lay your hands on, and bring them here.' "The servant reported back, 'Master, I did what you commanded — and there's still room.' "The master said, 'Then go to the country roads. Whoever you find, drag them in. I want my house full! Let me tell you, not one of those originally invited is going to get so much as a bite at my dinner party."

Matthew 6:24-34, “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
(This means: Are the decisions that you take daily motivated with ‘how much money you are going to make’ or ‘Am I putting God first in my life?’) 25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 28 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' (all money based)
32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first (not only) His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you (second) as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
NIV

Make change practical and truthful!

Be a man/woman of your word and integrity and keep your promises to God if you want the promises of God to follow you for a better life!

Go to a Bible Teaching Church-Christian Fellowship and grow in the Lord the way He really wants you to. Leave the past behind and consider this letter as a way of God reaching out to you to talk to you!

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father I come to you in the name of Jesus as I recognize that I have failed in many areas of that are of most significance in life. I ask you to forgive me for not keeping my promises (vows) with You (with myself, my family, my friends, my wife & children). Today, more than ever before I realize that I have put many things before You which in the eternal scope of things have little or no significance eternal value at all, while putting off all the most important things in life always at the end of my list of priorities! Dear Heavenly Father I ask you to help me and give me the grace from this day forward to change! I want to put You first in my life and invest more in those things in life which will remain with me for ever, rather in those things which are temporal and will one day be taken away from me, leaving no true satisfaction! Give me wisdom to discern what is important from what is urgent! I will no longer procrastinate in doing Your know and revealed will in my life. Forgive me for that! I submit my will to You and declare you as truly Lord and Master over my life from now on, in the mighty name of Jesus! Now Lord I take steps in natural to act upon my decision starting from toady! I thank you for reaching out to me before it was too late. In Jesus name, amen!

If you want what you have never had You have to do what you have never done!

Don’t let any one or any thing stop you!
